Abstract: Objective By comparing interventional treatments TACE,TACE + PEI and PEI for primary liver cancer(PLC) and comprehensivly analysing major factors which influenced prognosis,to provide a theory-based evidence for the formulation of treatment plan, the effects of interventional treatment and the estimation of prognosis. Methods 98 PLC patients treated with TACE,PEI or TACE + PEI were studied retrospectively.Cox regression analysis was used for the impact on treatment and prognostic of liver cancer-related factors. Results Of the three groups,TACE + PEI group obtained the best curative effect, the highest survival rate and the longest middle life span. The best achievement on reducing AFP value and the improvement of liver functional also happened in TACE + PEI group.Cox regression simplex factor analysis showed that the significantly influential factors were carcinoma embolus, tumour diminution rate,TACE + PEI treatment and AFP value of post-treatment Multiplicity factor analysis showed that carcinoma embolus and TACE + PEI treatment were the factors make sense to prognosis. Conclusion TACE + PEI treatment has notably curative effect With TACE + PEI treatment, the decrease of AFP value after treatment and the improvement of liver function on paients also obviously better than teated with either TACE or PEI.Besides, this treatment can prolong sufferers life span notably. The formation of carcinoma embolus in portal vein is the the most important risk factor to impact prognosis of patients suffered PLC with interventional treatment.Paients without carcinoma embolus and given TACE + PEI treatment have longer life span.
