Abstract:

Objective To detect RBM8A expression in human colon carcinoma cell lines in order to select the most appropriate cell line for further study. Methods RBM8A expression was examined in the following cell lines using quantitative RT-PCR and Western blotting： SW480，SW620，HT29，LOVO，COLO320DM，T84，and NCM460 enterocytes. Results RBM8A mRNA and protein were detected in all seven cell lines. RBM8A expression was higher in SW620 and COLO320DM cell lines than in normal enterocytes（P＜0.05）. Expression was similar between the normal enterocyte cell line and other cell lines（P＞0.05）. Conclusion RBM8A expression is higher in SW620 and COLO320DM cell lines，so they may be more suitable for more extensive laboratory studies.
