Abstract: Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy, survival rate, life quality and side effects induced by hyperthermotherapy combined with TP chemotherapy in treating the patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods Sixty NSCLC patients were randomly divided into two groups.Group one(n=30)was treated with Paclitaxel plus cisplatin(TP)for four cycles, combined with hyperthermotherapy.Group two(n=30)was treated only with regular TP chemotherapy for four cycles. One month after treatment, the efficacy, life quality and side effects were compared between the two groups. Results The response rates in group one and group two were 46.7% and 36.7% respectively, and the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Between two groups, the difference of the change of KPS score before and after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05).The toxic and side effects of the two groups had no significant difference. Conclusion The use of TP chemotherapy combined with hyperthermotherapy can increase efficacy and improve life quality of the patients with advanced NSCLC.
