Abstract: Objective  To analyze the correlation between the cell immunity and humoral immunity and Barcelona clinic liver cancer （BCLC） stage of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma （HCC）. Methods A total of 1，164 cases of humoral immunity status of early treated HCC patients admitted to Guangxi Medical University Cancer Hospital from Jan 2014 to Dec 2017 were retrospectively analyzed. The level of humoral immunity factors was measured by immunoturbidimetry，the level of cellular immune factors was detected by the flow cytometry. Results The levels of IgG，IgA，C3，C4 or c-reaction protein（CRP） at different BCLC stage were significantly different（all P<0.05），and for HCC patients the levels of IgG，IgA，C3，C4 and CRP at stage C or D were all higher than those at stage A or B. The levels of total T cells at different BCLC stage were also significantly different（P=0.040），and the level of total T cells in HCC patients at stage C or D was lower than that at stage B（P<0.05）. Spearman correlation analysis showed that the levels of IgG，IgA，C3，C4 and CRP were positively correlated with BCLC stage（all P<0.05）. Further stratified analysis showed that the correlation between the level of IgG or IgA and BCLC stage was affected by gender，while the correlation between the level of total T cells and BCLC stage was affected by both gender and cirrhosis background. Conclusion With the increase of BCLC stage，the humoral immune function of HCC patients is enhanced，while cellular immune function is inhibited，especially for male and patients with cirrhosis.
