Abstract: Objective To investigate the expression of long non-coding RNA RAB11B-AS1（lncRNA RAB11B-AS1） in bladder cancer tissues and its relationship with clinicopathological parameters and prognosis. Methods The bladder cancer tissues and adjacent normal tissues were collected from 83 cases of surgical resection at the Department of Urology，the Second People's Hospital of Yunnan Province between October 2012 and February 2014. The expression of lncRNA RAB11B-AS1 was detected by qRT-PCR，and its relationship with the clinicopathological characteristics of bladder cancer patients was analyzed. Cox regression was used to analyze the relationship between lncRNA RAB11B-AS1 and the prognosis of bladder cancer patients. Results The expression of lncRNA RAB11B-AS1 in bladder cancer tissues was lower than that in adjacent normal tissues（1.17±0.32 vs 2.09±0.74，t=10.396，P<0.001）. The expression of lncRNA RAB11B-AS1 was correlated with TNM stage，histological grade and lymph node metastasis in patients with bladder cancer（P<0.05）. The 5-year overall survival rate of patients with high expression of lncRNA RAB11B-AS1 was higher than those with low expression（62.22% vs 26.32%，χ²=13.420，P<0.001）. Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that the low expression of lncRNA RAB11B-AS1 was an independent risk factor for the prognosis of bladder cancer patients（HR=1.126，95%CI：1.058-1.200，P<0.001）. Conclusions The expression of lncRNA RAB11B-AS1 is low in bladder cancer tissues，and the patients with low expression have a poor prognosis.
