Abstract: Objective To evaluate the practical value of ultrasound-guided mammotome minimally invasive peeling on benign breast disease. Methods 856 benign breast masses from 435 patients were treated by ultrasound-guided mammotome minimally invasive peeling. Results All of breast masses were resected safely and completely. Each mass was resected by 18 peelings on average, and the average operation time was 15 minutes. The maximum diameter of the masses measured 1.5±1.0cm,and the lengths of incision were only 3 to 5 mm.No serious complications occurred among the patients. Conclusion Ultrasound-guided mammotome minimally invasive peeling for benign breast disease appears to be a procedure for widespread using because of its simplicity, accuracy, safety and minimally invasiveness.
