Abstract: 【Abstract】Objective To study the chemosensitivity to anticancer drugs of peripheral blood lymphocytes and granulocytes collected from cancer patients, and then to choose chemotherapeutics for the patients individually. Methods The sensitivity of the commonly used chemotherapeutic drugs in the peripheral blood lymphocytes and granulocytes collected from 160 patients with 5 kinds of cancer were tested by MTT assay in vitro. Results The sensitivities of lymphocytes and granulocytes collected from five kind of cancer patients were all positively correlated (P<0.05). The inhibition rations of the anticancer drugs on peripheral blood nucleated cells collected from the patients with stomach cancer,non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and ovarian cancer were statistically different (P<0.05),while from the patients with liver cancer and NHL was not significantly different. The resistance of granulocytes was higher than that of lymphocytes in the tests of HCPT on NSCLC,TAX and Vm-26 on ovarian cancer. Conclusion Chemotherapy under the guidance of chemosensitivity test in vitro with peripheral blood nucleated cells may improve the therapeutic effect and help clinician to choose reasonable chemotherapy drugs for patients individually.
