Abstract:

Objective To explore the expression of Leptin and NF-κBp65 in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and its clinical significance. Methods Expression of Leptin and NF-κBp65 was analyzed immunohistochemically in 63 patients with chronic cervicitis and 125 patients with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. Results Leptin expression was detected in 100% of samples from patients with chronic cervicitis, and staining intensity was strong. NF-κBp65 was detected in 100% of samples from both groups of patients. NF-Bp65 staining intensity was significantly higher in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia than in chronic cervicitis, and intensity increased with severity of neoplasia. Leptin and NF-κBp65 expression correlated negatively in both sets of patients. Conclusion High expression of NF-κBp65 promotes the development of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. As this disease develops, Leptin expression decreases and becomes abnormal.
